How to use it

Clean and dry
The surface needs to be clean and dry — the only preparation needed.

Shake for two minutes
A full two minutes brings the pigment back into suspension for an even line.

Invert and spray
Held 50–75mm off the surface. Closer gives a narrower, sharper line; walking speed controls how heavy it lands.

Clear the nozzle
Turned upright and sprayed for a few seconds after use, clearing the nozzle so it doesn't block.

Colour conventions vary by site and client — always follow the scheme you're given. There is no single UK standard for marking paint colour; these are the conventions the trade works to.
How long will the line last?
Around 6 months before it starts to break down, depending on UV exposure, the surface and traffic. It's semi-permanent, not permanent — for marks meant to disappear sooner, use Survey Paint.
How soon can traffic drive over it?
Touch dry in 25 minutes; fully cured in 24 hours.
Can I paint over old lines?
Old lines can be over-marked once dry. Black is commonly used to black out superseded lines before re-marking a changed layout.
Will it work in cold or wet weather?
The surface has to be clean and dry for the paint to bond, so damp, frosty or greasy surfaces are best left until they have dried.
How many cans will I need?
Roughly 100 metres of 50mm line per can, halving to about 50 metres at 100mm. The calculator above gives a can count for a given line length; a spare avoids running short.
Will the colour match the swatch on screen?
Close, but not exact — no screen can reproduce sprayed paint. Where colour is critical, a single can confirms it before a bulk order.
Do I need a special applicator?
No. The inverted can works freehand, and also clips into a trolley or handheld applicator for straighter lines over distance.
